Being a students in Korea?

Oh my god!!! That's what I said in first day of school in the U.S.
American schools were great heaven to me.
I didn't have to worry about get spank from teacher because of grades.
I didn't have to go to school in the dark and got home in the dark.
And I didn't have to wear the uniform, also do not have to worry about all the complicated dress code.
In America I can study on my level and take advantage on the next level.
In Korea there like 30 to 35 students in one classroom and study all together, you can't change the schedule even course is too hard or too easy for the student. It may changed by today, but when I'm in school in Korea it was like that. Every public and private school, count the grades from the test score. There is four big test in middle and high school in every year.
It takes four to five days to take all the subject, but students can get off the school early on test days.
If you ruin one of those test, students can not get a good grade for their final.
Because of all those tests, lots of students having tutoring and it's really expensive, some cost about $2,000, but mostly cost about $2~300 per month.
But in America, students have lots of chances to pull up their grades.
Because teachers count the grades for every assignments that they gave to students.
And the most important thing is teachers never spank the student in U.S.
Even college is different. If I'm in Korea and try to enroll the college it's really hard. Every college requires SAT score and seniors study for the SAT in whole high school year. Because teachers pushing them so hard and their goal is get a highest score on SAT.
After all those work as soon as you got into the college then it's nothing cause it's really easy to graduate.
Today, I've heard it has been changed a lot, but I still think they're harsh about push them to study.
I'm not saying you don't have to study, but what I'm saying is, it's up to them, it's their responsibility.

My Mom!!!

I have a lot of people who helped me when I having a hard time.
All those people really worried about me seriously.
But my mom is a hero for me.
Actually, she's my step mother since I was 3years old.
My sister knew that she was our step mother but I didn't.
I figured that out about 6years ago, it's right before that I came to the U.S, and that's the reason why I came to the U.S.
It was miracle, because I wasn't sad at all. I mean... I'm glad that she was my mom.
Actually, I had little memories of my biological mother but I didn't want to thought about it.
It was pretty bad, you could never imagine how horrible it was.
I never thought that she gave me a birth, I feel like my step mother gave me a birth.
I just believed it that way and she's that nice to me and my sister.
My mom knew, it was all lie what my dad said to her, but she got married with dad because of me and my sister.
I asked mom why she got married with dad, even she knew that dad has two daughters,
she felt like some kind of responsibility when she saw us at first time, she said.
At that point she's already a big influence in my life.
I'm really thank her that she raised me with full of love, and I'm really proud of her and myself that I have such a great mother.
If I were her I could never do that for someone else.
I don't know what to say how great she was, I just hope that people feel me.

My Cousin!!

I have a cousin, she's two years older than me.
Her name is Nari, she used to live with me until last October.
Actually we've live together almost whole life!
We did everything together , ate together, and shopped together.
But she found the fibrous tumor around her uterus, it was so big,
diameter was about 22cm.
We were so shocked, so she decided to go back to Korea.
But her father has cancer so she already made her mind to go back to Korea before that.
Nari stayed here about 5years, when she arrived in Korea she met her parents, and her friend.
She got her surgery done so well, and she also lost a lot of weight, she used to more than 200lb,
but now she's about 150lb.
I'm really glad that she's healthy now. I believe that was the biggest events in her life.
In Korea she teaches English right now. I heard she got lots of gifts from her students at Teacher's day. If I visit in Korea next summer I'm sure we're going to lots of fun together.
